Ci dessous sa lettre où elle décrit sa recherche de lots de tombola "Alsaciens" pour aider des echanges d'étudiants et de projets culturels entre Strasbourg et Boston.
Dear Jumelage friends,
On March 7, the Boston/Strasbourg Sister City Association will hold its second TASTE of ALSACE event. Our first TASTE of ALSACE was a sell-out success. It featured Alsatian cuisine from 20 Boston restaurants, live and silent auctions, and a jazz band.
The most significant part of the fund-raising was the revenue from the auction items. They included hotel and restaurant vouchers from Strasbourg that we combined into "Weekend in Alsace" packages. They were the "hottest" items on the auction table.
If you have any access to these or similar items (Alsatian products of any type that I can take back in my suitcase!) that we could auction, I would appreciate the donation.
The funds raised will be used for our many exchange programs (teacher exchange in April, high school student exchange in July, the collaborative art project).
We are an all volunteer group with no government financial support. We raise money through membership dues, special donations and events.
Any help you can offer will be much appreciated and used to further the friendship between Alsace and the United States.
I look forward to visiting with you at the Assemblee Generale on January 22.
